Originally a roadside inn, it was founded in 1637 and before long the Salzmann´s beerhouse has gained a reputation, because the Salzmanns, as well as their successors, managed to maintain the prestige of Pilsen beer so well that their beerhouse got into guidebooks as one of the main landmarks in town. Over the decades, the theme restaurant served its purpose. And even today, we can try the best of Czech couisine and world ? famous Pilsen beer in the oldest of Pilsen´s beerhouses.

The restaurant has seatings for 120 and is frequently visited by celebrites from Czech and international cultural and political circles, for instance former Czech president Václav Havel and our present president Václav Klaus too. We offer typical Czech dishes ? goulash, fried duck, pork joint, rabbit? and salads, pasta, sweets...

One place we can offer for a pleasant time time is in our lounge, which is intended for up 80 people. The pleasurable atmosphere of this room is perfect for family celebrations, weddings, banquets, company parties and other social events. In the undergraund of our house you can find a small restaurant ? SKLÍPEK (= cellar). It suitable for family celebrations or the firm parties. In summer we have garden restaurant in back yard. Its capacity is 60 places (An official text). Draught beers - Pilsner Urquell 12° - Radegast Birell (Alcohol Free) - 13° - 18°.
